The United States is home to more than 1.2 military-connected children, but they can be difficult for educators to identify. Supporting their academic and social-emotional needs is critical to their overall success, and schools and communities can take strategic steps to meet their needs.

Meeting the needs of students begins with the training and retention of skilled teachers.  Studying and evaluating practices in teacher education is critical to understanding best practices and helping future and current teachers support the diverse needs of students. 

Emerging technologies can help us teach and learn more efficiently. By exploring new and integrative uses for technology in the classroom, we can identify innovative ways to learn, practice, and demonstrate new skills.
